To celebrate St. Louis Design Week October 3-9, 2016, SPACE Architecture+Design hosted a Little Free Library event. Architecture and design firms from all over St. Louis were invited to participate by joining us as we built Little Free Libraries that will be available for neighborhood communities throughout St. Louis.

The response was overwhelming! Our first place winner for overall design was Forum Studio, who built an incredible Dr. Suess themed Little Free Library, with climbing ladder, green roof, and laser cut animation. This will definitely inspire kids to grab book and get reading!

Little Free Libraries is a program that began in Wisconsin in 2009 and has spread throughout the nation. Their Mission is: To promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide and to build a sense of community as we share skills, creativity and wisdom across generations.

Thank you to everyone who participated!
