Bobo Noodle House

In collaboration with restaurateur Zöe Robinson, we designed and built Bobo Noodlehouse. This job encapsulates the depth and breadth of SPACE’s skills. Within 950 square feet and a budget of less than $300,000, we designed a sleek, contemporary restaurant, managed its construction and won an American Institute of Architects Award of Honor, the highest honor given by the AIA.

Bobo Noodlehouse beautifully integrates a full-service kitchen and comfortable seating for 32 in this modern design. The space is anchored by a “wood box” clad in laminated wood that is typically used for flooring, and it houses the kitchen, dishwashing and order counter. Taking advantage of the 16-foot ceilings, the mechanical systems were consolidated above the kitchen, giving the dining area an airy and open feel.
