A true collaborative project, Chill combined the vision of client Bill Koman of Koman Group, Kuhlmann Leavitt’s branding expertise, and SPACE’s architectural and design talent. Bill and his family wanted to open a frozen yogurt shop in a walkable residential neighborhood in Clayton, an inner-ring suburb of St. Louis. The existing retail building required a new facade and interior design. Working closely with Kuhlmann-Leavitt, our team strove to bring the cool, contemporary brand to the space, while still making it approachable and comfortable for families and children. The new facade features classical lines and proportions so it fits well with its neighbors, but the cheerful pop of white makes a modern statement. The white seamlessly folds inside the shop to create a dramatic simplicity.
